HI Coimbra - Come make a difference in our hostel and in the community of Coimbra, a city that will welcome you with open arms!

This project partners with Re-food Coimbra, where you’ll have the opportunity to help collect food leftover from restaurants, supermarkets, bakeries, cafes, pastry shops, hotels, etc. and distribute them to those in need. By doing so, you’ll be helping to reduce food waste, alleviate hunger and reduce the amount of waste that would otherwise end up in landfills, exacerbating the problem of waste management in the city. 

This Re-food volunteering will only take 2 hours of your time. During the remaining time, you can do small gardening works at the Youth Hostel of Coimbra and/or make guided tours, day or night, to places of interest, helping our guests explore and enjoy the ‘Music Nights in the Heart of Coimbra’ programme and the City’s festivities 

Hours per day: 5 h per day, Monday to Friday 

Hours per week: 25

Schedule: Rotating shifts, from Tuesday to Saturday, to be agreed between the parties
