The experience
Tavira is a city of urban and rural contrasts, its versatility arising from the historical/cultural, landscape, artistic, gastronomic and religious harmony. A city of contrasts, rich and inspiring. A pleasant city to live in and share the history and customs with its visitors. With this project, you’ll have the opportunity to carry out different initiatives. On the one hand, you’ll be able to teach Portuguese to tourists, create programmes and conduct guided tours to places of interest in the city, sharing local customs and gastronomy; on the other hand, you’ll also have the opportunity to share skills and knowledge with small painting jobs and repairs at the Youth Hostel. The programme is divided into two shifts, the first shift comprising two hours in the morning for activities to be carried out outside the Youth Hostel, and the second shift comprising three hours in the afternoon for small tasks inside the Youth Hostel. The remaining hours, well, those are entirely yours to explore and experience all the city has to offer!
